Does anybody know the average raw score in Bucks this year?

u need to get at least 121. i got 130! but points r taken off for every year of your age, im december. poor me. the highest is 141. im 11 turning 12

They don't publicise the average raw score - all scores /80 are standardised.

121 is qualifying - the average VRQ in a Grammar is around 126/128 -

so if a child is for example APRIL born and score 141 would they detuct marks from this or is it possible that that he/she might have scored 132 and got extra marks for being born in APRIL and score totaled up to 141 (it is just for instance). thanks.

The standardised score which you are told (for example the 141 or 132 you quote) is calculated taking your child's age into account. It tells you how well the child did in relation to other children born in the same month. It can vary from 70 (worst performance) to 141 (highest performance).

Generally, an older child will have had to answer a few more questions correctly in order to get the same standardised score as a younger child. This is because their "month group" is likely to have done better on average. The number of questions a child gets right in a test is the "raw score" and could vary from 0 to however many questions there are on the paper (eg 80). You will not be told this raw score.

The Bucks 11+ is not standardised like this as Bucks use a mean of 110 -
