I would turn that into
37.5 x 4 divided by 25 x 4
i.e. 150 divided by 100
so the answer is 1.5

Yes - in other words to divide by 25 you multiply by 4 and divide by 100 because 4/100 = 1/25. It's easy to multiply by 4 and it's easy to divide by 100, so this should be quicker than long division.

As the number is between 25 and 50, then the answer must be between 1 and 2.
37.5-25=12.5 (so that gives the 1)
12.5 is half of 25 (and the .5)
