Tutors for 11 plus
Hi, could anyone help me find a good tutor for 11 plus around Beaconsfield and surrounding area. My son will need tutoring in 2014 and is on waiting list can't believe I have left it to late. Also whether you know of any home tutor for KS2English again around Beaconsfield. Appreciate anyone's help.
Genuine recommendations by PM only (private message) are acceptable - but beware of the possibility that someone who appears to be offering a recommendation may have a vested interest! Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'. (It's easy to report a possible problem: just click on the 'report button' - the red exclamation mark.)
Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with caution. However, there are many long standing members (check the date of joining and number of posts) who make a valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering seriously (while still exercising a degree of caution).
If you receive a recommendation from anyone else, please exercise extreme caution!

Don't book anyone until the format of the test in 2013 is known.

Re: Tutors for 11 plus
Hi do you mean whether they will add English and Maths to the Bucks papers on top of Verbal and non verbal reasoning?
Re: Tutors for 11 plus
No-one knows yet, so a tutor who is great for the current 11plus (a VR whizz), may not feel equipped to tutor for a different style of 11plus.Topspin1234 wrote:Hi do you mean whether they will add English and Maths to the Bucks papers on top of Verbal and non verbal reasoning?
Edited to add: there is no NVR in the Bucks 11plus, just VR at the moment.
scary mum
Re: Tutors for 11 plus
At the moment it is just VR but no-one knows the new format so please don't waste money until the details are released.
