Is it true that C of E schools can train their pupils as much as they like?
Someone told me this yesterday. It's annoying if true because our (non-C of E) Head says our school can only do the familiarisation tests.

Unfortunately, you have been a victim of playground gossip.
Bucks, state schools are only allowed to offer the familiarisation pack, containing 5 sessions [covering the 21 types] and 3 practice tests.

Interesting. I also once heard that certain state schools might be training their pupils more than the LEA allowed.
I raised it at our junior school's 11+ introduction meeting for Year 5 parents. The answer I got from the Head suggested to me that she suspected the same thing. I didn't pursue it though.

If the school were shopped to Bucks CC, what are the council actually going to do ?
If they do nothing, they would be seen as not enforcing the rules.
If they get annoyed and imply that the school is "cheating"......well that doesn't exactly support their (and NFER's) claims that extra tuition is largely pointless !

If they are a partner school i.e. entering pupils for Bucks 11+ they should be reported too.
