Course work
Hi there. I was wondering if anyone knows if AS course work can be remarked? If so how is this done? Be grateful for any thoughts.

Re: Course work
I believe that this is difficult. It would be a case of everybody's coursework in that subject from that school/college being sent to be remoderated, and may not be popular with the school, if only one person is complaining. Obviously this would be different if everyone felt the same.
What subject is it ?

Re: Course work
Hi relatives DC not mine, but trying to help out with disastrous situation. School being very unhelpful at mo so hard to get answers from them.
We are of the understanding that CW is intially marked by teacher- wouldnt a very 'poor' mark therefore be picked up in this day and age or is this really not possible? Are students allowed to 'redo' it before its submitted? Shockingly, this info has never been offered to the family which seems a bit weird to me.
Oh and no, the grade hadnt been told to pupil before it was submitted. Again, strange to me.
I know procedures change from year to year so am very grateful for any up to date advice and appreciate your previous responses.

Re: Course work
We give students an indicative grade and then send off a sample (or all of them if a small entry).
There seems to have been quite a downwards marking of coursework this year - I think this is a way of exam boards depressing the grades to keep Mr Gove happy
I've heard quite a few people with this sort of 'surprise' - was it AQA?
Only the school can request a remark for coursework -

Re: Course work
Coursework can be 60% of the mark in some subjects.
In others it's enough to push you down a grade which can lost you a Uni place.
