Silly Tiffin question for tomorrow

Post by menagerie »

What do they wear? The letter doesn't say whether school uniform or civvies are the norm. Does anyone know? I bet they'd all rather be in tracksuits if they can.

I have sent kids to exams where it didn;t say and they went in civvies and they were much more comfortable that way. Quite a few kids were in uniform and many more in civvies - don't suppose it bothers the GS

Thanks Herman. Think it'll be civvies unless someone comes on here and shouts - no, hang on, only uniform is accepted.

Definitely civvies are worn by most, a few wear uniform. That was our experience from Sutton and Kingston exams last year.
Regards and best of luck for tomorrow

Will your son be going back to his primary school?

No, we decided to take him out for lunch in Kingston and give him the afternoon off. A few boys from his school are sitting and all but one are also skiving in the afternoon. By the time we've had lunch and got back to school there would only be about 90 mins of school left.

How about you?

Vast majority of kids wore their own clothes. One bit of advice - wear cardigan/tracksuit top/zip up front type jumper which is easy to get off if too hot. My son said he wasted time during the exam trying to take his sweatshirt over his head and then it pulled his T shirt up and then he was getting conscious about his belly being out for everyone to see!! 2 minutes is quite a few questions to be faffing around with clothes!!!

No we skived as well - a lazy lunch, and then time to relax at home. He seems much chirpier for it as well!
