wirral grammar girls 11+

Post by dcarmo »

My daughter is currently in Y5 and after visiting Wirral Grammar, loved it.
I would like any advice about the 11+; recommendations for study books, any practice papers, what things anyone else has done etc as i would like to help her myself i am a teacher.

Any advice would be most gratefully received. thanks.

I hope you're not a geography teacher....

You might get more responses posting this in the Wirral section. I doubt many of us Bucks residents can help much!

The current Bucks 11+ (as in 2012 edition) uses the same GL Assessment types as the Wirral test, so the question is not wholly inappropriate.

dcarmo, everything you read about the content Bucks test up until this month or so will be relevant for Wirral.

my dd has just sat the 11+ for the wirral and upton hall
we only applied end off may and didnt really know anything about the 11+ till we received a sample book from wirral lea
This then sent me into a panic as i had stupidly thought the 11+ was maths/english test  (we live out of area and had recently moved school so had noone to discuss it with to find out)
luckily i found this forum and quickly brought gl assessment 11+ tests and bright sparks and found the word list on this site. Whether this has been enough only time will tell
good luck with your dd :D
