please?
PAI(-)OAD SAI(-)EAR
the answer is given as L, However I have not come across LEAR. LEER is a sneering grin... please advise

Use pf proper nouns

I'm surprised at the use of a proper nounn in the 'LEAR' example - I haven't come across these on past papers or practoce papers.

I think these must be paid for downloads - I can't find that question on the free downloads.

It's a mistake - a proper noun shouldn't be used, as Dobby has said. I'm slightly surprised by it though, as it looks as though the person setting the questions can't spell! Normally errors on papers are just data input/typing mistakes.

If eyeballs could post back which paper it was from I'm sure Forum Admin will get it corrected.

Dear All

Agree 'names' should not be used...

They have come from the following page, unsure who wrote these questions.

Please note that not all of these downloads are applicable to Bucks.

Thank you to Patricia for providing the link. It is indeed on 11 plus practice papers, free downloads, word coonect practice sheet 2.
Do I need to get my child to brush up on their Shakespeare? Are there likely to be Proper nouns on questions like this in the Bucks 11+ ?
