Missed Nonsuch by 1 point

Post by sutton2012 »

Dear All,

My daughter has passed Wallington but failed Nonsuch by 1 point! How do we appeal? Can we appeal directly to the Headteacher? Any and all advice will be much appreciated since Nonsuch was our first choice and Wallington the second...

Many thanks indeed!!

Welcome!

You are entitled to a statutory appeal, but this will not be possible until your application has been formally refused at the beginning of March. Most appeals take place in the summer term.
You can read all about appeals here:

You may or may not be entitled to a review. This is different from an appeal, and entirely a matter for the admission authority.

What was her aggregate score? Sutton2012. Bare in mind that there are also other candidates who probably scraped a pass so your DD missing one point might not give you much grounds for Appeal.
