Habs 2011 maths paper

Post by soupastar »

hi everyone

my son has just finished the maths 2011 sample test paper from Haberdasher Aske.

Is there an answer sheet for this or do I now have to re live my youth and struggle through this myself. The first sheet looks relatively easy but I want to be certain that when I check through the whole thing that I am definitely marking it correctly (he is probably better at maths then me).

I have tried to google an answer sheet but nothing has come up. Is there a copyright issue in producing an answer sheet?

Any help/info etc would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

no they don't produce answer sheets - you have to check them yourself. Post any questions you can't solve on the forum and someone will be able to help.

beyond question 13 I am not certain of any of the answers. I believe I have most right but couldn't say 100% that they are correct.

I hate to be a thickie but are you suggesting that I post the remaining 17 questions (some of which are diagrams) on here?

I went through that one with ds. Will see if I can find the answers for you later this evening. Have other things I need to do for a bit right now though.

Many thanks for that - really appreciated and would be good to have the answers for all papers on the forum. Would have saved me a good hour. Luckily I was pretty spot on with the answers but I am not the one taking the exam.

Just to point out I have corrected 29 which should be as above from 101

also i will add 1 - 13 if anyone wants to get the answers next time.

1. 75
2. 66
3. 434
4. 23
5. 52p
6. 50ml
7. 52,272
8. £46,200
9. 7400g
10. 0.099, 0.491, 0.51, 1.072, 32.043
11. 90 hours
12. 7325
13. 0.4

Hopefully they are correct but if anyone sees different then they can update for future use.

Now you mention it I do remember that he got that one wrong. I'd not looked at the answers again, just copied them off his answer sheet.

Yes I was surprised he got the last one. Not sure if he'd seen it before somewhere but he somehow knew from looking at it that each "petal" was the area of the semicircle - 1/4 the area of the square.

He must be a maths genius. Had to really think hard for couple of the questions after all this time.
