I'm not sure :D . Having read the article I can see some of the arguments for it. As long as they can use correct grammar... :lol: :lol:

Despite the basic skills tests there are definitely qualified teachers who can't ....... me included.

There's correct grammar, but there's also downright incorrect use of English (see the other thread)

This qualified one has just quit the profession (before it kicked me out :lol: ).

When you think about it University lecturers don't undergo any formal teachers training, do they? :D

Pumpkin Pie - yes a lot do - in fact I know there is at least one University where every single lecturer has to have this qualification.

Well, I've worked in several and that certainly wasn't the case!

Which University does require lecturers to have a teaching qualification?

Oxford Brookes does - and possibly others.

I know I had a few lecturers that could have doen with some training rather then just reading out the notes they had taken as students 30 years before. :lol:
