Can anyone please advise names of text books used for the afore mentioned subjects please. This is for KS3 level science. At schools such as Tudor grange, Solihull, Warwick & KES. Thanks

Which board does the school use for exams?
Re: Biology, Chemistry & Physics
I think it's edexcel; I want to compare the standards of text books used.

I haven't a clue what textbooks my DS used and he got A* in all those. Not sure that the textbook is important as most teachers will use a range of resources - I have Grey's Anatomy sitting on my shelf - huge tome, actually learnt more from the much much smaller Essential Anatomy ....

Paramjeet, I would ask your childs current science teachers at their school. I am sure they would give you a bibliography of appropriate literature for the aforementioned subjects.

Biology, Chemistry & Physics
What about the other core subjects Paramjeet, or is it just the sciences you are interested in?

In defence of OP. Maybe he/she is trying to brush up
Knowledge. I know I had looked for books when I was helping DC with Chem as I was rusty and had no idea what was in the syllabus.

Some use this for common entrance prep http://www.galorepark.co.uk/product/sch ... ook-2.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but it is very dry.
This too is good for KS3 science revision

The science is heavily skewed towards "how stuff works"

DS1 never opened his textbooks in Key stage 3. Sorry I can't remember what they were. When it came to revision he preferred to use BBC bitesize http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/science/
Thanks for the docbrown link, that looks good.
