slough mum i would just like to know if you are considering the 12+ like i am . Have you decided which school you are going for as there are some grammers who are doing there own exams. I am struggerling to decide as ds is happy at this present school but i have found that he is not being challenged, eg home work every 2 or 3 weeks just . any advice please!

I totally agree, in the non selective school it is not challenging enough and not much or hardly any homework. My DC is the same.

I have PM you on schools.

Probably a bit of a sweeping statement! My DC's friends at the local upper school have just as much, if not more, homework than him.

The deadline for registering is Wednesday ( I think).

Yesterday i saw a forum on this site suggesting to have a look at a site but my memory has completely gone and i cant find that thread. It was something about inserting words in the paragraphs which i did go on and it was great! It started with the letter Q and ive gone through the search on my history on my computer but its not comming up.
Can any one help as im getting very frustrated
It also had other activities for children which i feel are really good.

Because some of the gs are doing there own tests, what does in house testing mean?
They do say that the tests will be vr but they dont mention what format they will be or how many of the tests they will be doing, or out of how much they need to get to pass.
Has any one heard anything about this as there is lack of info.

I doubt that a great deal of information will be forthcoming. Despite that, I would hope that you will receive information about the duration of the test or tests, the number of questions on the paper and possibly a sample sheet to show the sort of questions that might appear on it.

You can certainly try asking, although they may not yet have decided all the details!
