BUCKS 11+ RESULTS 2012

Post by Sally-Anne »

I wish everyone the very best of luck with their DC's results on Friday.

To remind everyone, this year's 11+ results will be issued as follows:

- For Bucks state schools and "Partner" schools, via pupil post at the end of the school day on Friday.

- For out-of-county applicants (central testing) the results are posted first class on Thursday 29th November, hopefully arriving on Friday morning.

A few tips in advance:

:: Please do not post scores for those who have qualified on the forum. A child requires 121 on one paper to qualify, and that's that. Posting higher scores is boasting, plain and simple. Rejoice, but remain silent in public, both here and in real life.

:: Please show sensitivity towards others who may not have had good news, both on and off the forum, and ask your children to do the same.

:: If your child has not received the expected result, please start a thread for your proposed selection review (or appeal - there is a difference which we will explain, depending on your circumstances) on the Appeals section of the forum, not on the Bucks section.

:: Please include in your post all the essential points that we ask for in the Announcements. That thread will then be your personal appeal "case file". Please continue to use that single thread so that information about your case is all held in one place.

:: If any personal information about your case genuinely cannot be posted on the Forum, there is a facility on the Appeals section for sending such information to our appeals experts in confidence. We will then reply to you on the Forum without disclosing what you have told us.

Please keep busy on Friday, take the letter home before you open it and reward your DC in some way, whatever the result.

Thank you.

We don't have any precise data yet, but I have tracked statistics such as these for around 6 years now, and they are broadly the same each year.

Wishing all of you the best for tomorrow. Can only echo Sally-Anne. Rejoice quietly if you get the desired result, but please don't let your child see any disappointment if it isn't. They are still your DC.

Postman has delivered.
Good news...DS has passed.
But, being out of county, now we have to plan about the move etc.
Good luck everyone.
