TGS stage 2
From TGS : Candidates who achieved, or exceeded, the cut off score at Stage 1 testing and who named the school on their Common Application Form will be invited to attend Stage 2 testing on 8 December. Letters will be sent in early December confirming timings for the day. Stage 2 will consist of three tests which will assess numeracy and literacy: one each of mathematics, reading and writing. These tests will be set and marked by The Tiffin Girls’ School and set at an appropriate level of challenge to determine the offer of places at the school and will be guided by the content of the Primary National Curriculum. For guidance only: the level of challenge of these tests will be appropriate for applicants anticipated to achieve Level 5 at the end of Year 6. No further information will be issued about the format of the tests themselves.....looks like we are all in the same boat...

Re: TGS stage 2
Hi, my daughter took the test today and found it quite easy. Edited to remove test content. They were right about the tests being of level 5 difficulty. My DD is level 5 and did no prep at all. I only feel that in the writing paper maybe she could've written more, but we are just happy to see her come out happy. She did say that other girls were writing pages n pages..so...hoping for the best

Did any one took his picture too? Smart phones would have been handy.
Or perhaps he was trying to count the number of people to derive number of children sitting for the test.
Perhaps it is early to discuss exam contents. Some children may have missed today's test and would take it after few days. Also late movers could apply by 14 Dec and could be tested later.

Re: TGS stage 2
The TGS maths exam was hard and had a lot more questions that stated in the forum.
She said it was hard and challenging and from what I heard from some other mothers that I have phoned, they said that their daughter did not complete the exam. Not enough time.
thanks
