Recommended Science Book/s

Post by countrymum »

DD (Yr 6) really wants a couple of decent general science books to read and learn from. Am a bit clueless on knowing which ones to get her. Would be very appreciative of any recommendations. Thanks.

Dorling Kindersly books are always good.

Also there are a couple of books written by Jay Young
The Art of Science

and The Even More Amazing Science Pop up Book ( A 3D Exploration) The second one is written in Association with the Science Museum.

The Horrible Science Series is great too.

She could have a look in the library too. there are some really fun science books published these days.

Ours like the New Scientist ones - "Why don't penguins feet freeze?", etc.

Thanks so much Scary Mum, Yoyo 123, and ToadMum :)

Off to trusty A'zon to have a look.

Edit: Gone for a Horrible Science box set. Seemed good value and reviews were great! Thanks again.
