Examination boards

Post by ginx »

I am an invigilator and today invigilated a Biology GCSE, AQA board. I have invigilated many Edexcel exam boards which seemed "easy" compared to this one.

Are Edexcel "easier" GCSE's than other exam boards? Do universities prefer some exam boards to others?

Wonder what I've got tomorrow (haven't done any revision :) )

They are all meant to be equivalent - AQA grade boundaries are often lower to make the standard comparable.

OCR always feel hardest IMO. Edexcel ramp their exams so they give candidates a gentle introduction.
