2014 Entry anyone?

Post by Araucana girl »

Wondered who was putting their dd or ds in for the exams this year, would be nice to know some people on here who will be doing the next set of exams in September. That way I won't feel all alone in this :D

DS2 will be taking the 11+ in September, probably aiming for SHSB. (DS1 currently there, but aiming for SHSG or WHSG for Yr12 in September ).

That is what we are going to do, dd really wants ChCHS, I would be happy with either WHSG or ChCHs but needless to say would be over the moon if she got the latter :D

Starting to believe that vocab vocab vocab is the way to go, but poor dd there are only so many hours in the day

Looks like there will be a few of us on here doing both the exams for 'dd's. I am hoping that this being the first year it will not be as bad as future years, maybe that is wishful thinking but that is the impression I am getting from other region posts that already do CEM.

Dare I ask if any dd/ds have done any real papers yet? I did one of english and maths last year but then decided to hold back to a bit later on as it wasn't helping the panic :?

Ds2 quite likes doing real papers rather than "how to"s (hope he is still keen come September  ). So far he has achieved 34/40 on an old CSSE Maths paper and 34/50 on the 2007 entry English.
