Just wanted to wish good luck to all those children (and parents! ) who are doing the VR paper over the next few days.

Yes good luck.

Son should be bringing home result of first test paper today. Obviously very keen to find out how he did but this first paper is fairly easy I believe to break them in ?

Do the results of these 3 test papers get taken into account should an appeal process be necessary ?

These results are ignored in appeal as the practice papaers have benn around for years and the pupils may have seen them before.

Best of luck and remember the 2nd and third ones are more difficult then the first so don't worry if they don't do as well. Alse bare in mind this will be the first time I have done a proper test in test situation so again don't expect really high scores.

Finally do ask for the papers back as you can them identify any roblem areas.

Good luck

He brought home his first paper together with answer sheet and he did well (91%) but of course its the easiest of the three. They are doing 2nd paper this week so fingers crossed.

I would have thought they'd do the tests in the assembly hall but they're doing it in the classroom. :?

Hi Duffymoon

91% is very encouraging!

Your other comment reminds me to remind everyone: please ask your child about the test conditions, even for these practice tests.

Not all schools or teachers get it right, and sometimes the most awful mistakes are made, either because of incompetence or unfamiliarity with the rules. If you get your child into the habit of spilling the beans about the test conditions now it will be easier to get important information on the actual tests later on.

Good luck - fingers crossed!

Dear Guest Did you child not take all exams on the same day? In Berks primary schools we take all 3 exams - vr, nvr and maths on the same day!
Is this fair to expect some kids to take all 3 exams on one day and others have them spaced out over a week!!!
