Kent Council website and grammar schools

Post by fatbananas »

Can anyone point me in the right direction on the Kent Council website, where I can find the furthest distance to a school that a pupil has been admitted, having passed the Kent test? I've just spent half an hour clicking and back-clicking and am driving myself nuts!

If you call the schools you are interested in some of them will tell you. You can also look on the individual schools website.
I hope this helps :)

Yes I would e-mail each school with your specific questions. You can give a postcode and they can give you details over several years as to whether you would have got in 1 March or from waiting list from that postcode. Appeals are a different matter as distance has no bearing. They can give you some numbers though as to how many people didn't get in first time round who then got in via waiting list and appeals etc. They each hold a lot of useful data.

Thanks Peter45 and Mystery! I tried looking on the school websites and that wasn't successful, so I rang KCC secondary schools department and they were extremely helpful!
