What is the answer and why?

This is from a Bond 9-10 assessment paper.

House is to roof as head is to (hair or hat). I'm guessing hair as every head has hair (well a lot of female heads anyhow). Is that right? And is that why? Both answers feel kind of right to me.

Yep, I'd go with hair, on the grounds that a hat is less detachable and more of an optional extra!

Our attic is rather cluttered as is my head. Hair seems to be an optional extra on my DH's side of the family.
