Owes, you may be better off just ringing the school - at least you'll know for sure what's going on. Any news on here may well just be what someone has heard from someone else and may not be accurate.
Also, you may have noticed by now that if your thread doesn't have "Tiffin" in the title then your chances of getting any response are pretty low

Alternatively ring the Council Admissions Dept, they should know as well.
Apart from the bank holidays they should be open as they dont get a 17 day Easter break unlike schools.

As always, you are spot on. Perhaps, parents from other 5 grammars should think of contributing as well about their schools (or atleast respond to specific questions raised on the forum).

The council is unlikely to know anything more than the school simply because SGS is an academy and therefore its own admission authority and so it administers its own list. Councils run lists for community schools. Academies run their own lists.
When places are declined from the March 1st offers, SGS will inform the home council of the boys at the top of the waiting list that an offer can me made. The chain of communication, once acceptances are in, starts at SGS not at the council.
