French Tutors

Post by faitaccompli »

Not for my son (although his Year 7 levels leave a lot to be desired in French!) - I have a friend living in SW18 area whose son is currently in Year 9.

He was a reluctant scholar for several years, but has now turned himself around and is very keen to improve in all subjects and get some decent GCSE grades.

He is finding it hard to catch up in French and is in need of a good French tutor and having been down the tutor route for the 11+, I thought this forum would be an excellent place to start the search.

So if anyone can recommend a tutor that we could chat to, please can you let me know!

Many thanks for any help or advice you are able to offer :)

Genuine recommendations by PM only (private message) are acceptable - but beware of the possibility that someone who appears to be offering a recommendation may have a vested interest! Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'. (It's easy to report a possible problem: just click on the 'report button' - the red exclamation mark.)

Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with caution. However, there are many long standing members (check the date of joining and number of posts) who make a valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering seriously (while still exercising a degree of caution).

If you receive a recommendation from anyone else, please exercise extreme caution!

Could any one please give feed back about Institute Francaise, London. I think it is French Government institution on the line of the British Council.
