Nets and Shapes

My DD really struggles with nets and shapes questions. In fact I don't think she has ever got one question right in all the practice tests she has completed.

Are there any websites with good practice techniques or examples of how she can work out mentally whether e.g. shape will make closed cube, open cube, whether shaded sides will meet etc?

I would do a lot of practice actually drawing them, cutting them out and making/trying to make them, to get a concrete idea of what's happening.
