New The 11+ CEM (Durham University) books
I've just bought 2 of these, and they seem a good glimpse into the test format. Has anyone else seen them?

Where did you buy these from? I thought they don't publish anything like the exam

If you google 'The 11+ CEM (Durham University) verbal book' and look down the first page you will see a link which will then link to the other 2 books:)

Oh thanks. I just had a look at their website to see if there is a preview but it doesn't work so I can't really help with the standard of it. It must be new though as I have been through the CEM exams with 2 DSs in the last 2 years and I don't think it was around then.
I wish it had been though as I had to spend ages making up my own timed tests based on previous content.
I am sure someone else will along soon.
Good Luck

I managed to order one but the other was out of stock and the third one said it would take two months to arrive! It will be interesting to look at the content. DG

Re: New The 11+ CEM (Durham University) books
When I've been reading about CEM, its big 'thing' is that it's untutorable. Yet, there are textbooks coming out on it at a terrific speed and the format of past papers is shared on the Birmingham section. So, is it that vocab/ format does get repeated, or are people sharing the information in the hope that one day it will be repeated? I just wondered what about it made it 'untutorable'?
Seize the day ... before it seizes you.

I bought from Amazon, one is available, one is out of stock and one is delivery in 2 months. I expect people have been buying frantically desperate for anything that says CEM on it. DG
