Entrance test at age 12.

Hello Everyone

I am from Sleaford, but have been living overseas for the last 2 years. I am returning to Sleaford in December of this year. My DS is 12 (year 8 ) when we return. He would like to go to Carre's and was expected to pass the 11+ before we left.

I have contacted the school who will arrange the exam to be taken before we return. This will not be the 11+, its an entrance test. I just wondered if anyone had an idea what the test is like so I could give my son some examples.

Last year Carre's were using CATS for late entry testing, but these tests can usually only be administered in school so perhaps they are considering something else? The school is generally very helpful so you could just ask them what the tests will be.

You could send an email or try ringing during the holidays - I'd be surprised if nobody got back to you. Admin and various other staff do not have a long summer break and the head and management will usually be checking emails regularly.
