How early is too early

Post by Maggie »

My son is 8 and is in Year 3. He is at one of the best primary schools in Barnet, and is doing very well, but I do not know when to start preparing him for the 11+. Is 2 years in advance too soon? My husband and I are considering QEB. Would it be a good idea to concentrate on developing his music skills ?(he has started the cello) I understand that up to 20 places are allocated on the basis of music ability as long as you pass the first test.

Hi Maggie

Take a look at the thread on "TUTORS" - Views on tutors, as someone else has just asked the same question about when to start preparing.

I can't help you on the cello question though, I'm afraid.
