Help with spelling and grammar correct in 11+

My ds is doing very well with his 11+ and only really struggling on picking up spelling mistakes in sentances and correcting grammar erorrs. He knows how to spelling words, but cannot spot errors in text Has anyone please got any suggestions on how to improve this or which Bond English books would focus on this - lots online, but not sure which is best.

We practiced this by copying paragraphs from reading books and then inserting our own spelling and grammatical errors, printing them out and giving them to our DS to correct.

Practice, practice it will pay off.
