Can you post the question please if possible or write a description of what the machine is trying to do?

The number machine is:

N divide by 4 plus 1 multiply by 2

This is the same as N divided by 4 multiplied by 2 plus 1 multiplied by 2

Which is the same as N divided by 2 plus 2

Hence C which is N/2 + 2
