Are these GL papers for QE on Wednesday that you are talking about? What section is he losing the marks on? DG

A lot of the QE applicants have seemed to find the English paper easy. However this does not mean that it was. They may well have been misreading the questions. We will find out very shortly. Ladymuck I am puzzled as to how he could be out of sync on explaining descriptive imagery. Can you give me an example? DG

Thanks DAOGroupie, but it is done and dusted and behind us now. In the end the paper wasn't anything like the GL/Bond papers, but he is through to the second round, so is working his socks off on 25 minute essays... Every exam he faces from this point on is standard form, so hopefully he won't drop marks through not interpreting the available answers correctly! And at least the papers will be marked by a human.

I tend to agree that an "easy" paper isn't always a good sign.

That is great news Ladymuck, well done to your son, that news came through very quickly, we are still waiting. What type of essay does he have to write? Is it creative writing? DG
