Walsh practise tests
My DS is doing a test from the Walsh book and it's got things that he hasn't seen before. In the sums with letters instead of numbers there were a couple of questions with brackets that he hasn't seen before and also one of the questions had 2A and he didn't know that it meant 2xA. Do these things come up on the test and if so why do the other test papers not include them?
Re: Walsh practise tests
Hi, Custard,
I'm new to this forum so I don't know how to put the link, but I 'll try.

If you read Patricia's comment, she mentions about those things.
However please note that Walsh use brackets in types I AND G which of course are not used by GL assessment. I tend to cross these off as I do not want to confuse the children.
I myself cross them those out and tell my dd not to answer them and she finds it ok.
Hope this helps.

Re: Walsh practise tests
Thank you. That's good to know. I will tell him to leave those ones out in future.
