Post by Ironman12 »

Hi All -

Not sure if this topic has been covered but are there any school buses for Kendricks traveling from Wokingham or surrounding area's ?

Thanks ..

If you search back to late Feb there was a thread about buses.
In short no dedicated school buses for Kendrick as far as I know.
There is one there serves kendrick as well as others but doesn't extend further than the university.

Wokingham students that I know use the 190 or the train or get driven in.

This is a good site for Travel Times/Schedules

No, there's nowhere sensible for them to do a regular drop off/pick up. Public transport is pretty good though; would you be looking at train or bus into Reading?

(Lol, I'm not really following you Bewildered!)

Is she gets a place, then probably the train as we have seen a few girls and boys jump on the train around 7:30.

Roll on 23rd Oct ...

Thanks

I think you will find a see of red jumpers walking from the station to school.
As a year 11 girl told us overvthe summer, if a girl gets lost between the station and the school, it would go down as a record.

My DD has found that the older girls who catch the bus will often say hello, especially in the first weeks.

It's good to know that if she gets in, plenty of girls and boys walk from the station. Thank you for the reassurance everyone.

Just to add, if this helps.

My DD sort of complained last night that when she leaves school, 'all' the other girls walk towards the station, except her and the girl she catches the bus with. If one or other of them leaves late, then they have to walk to the bus stop on their own, and this annoys her apparently. but then she is getting quite stroppy at the moment.

(Told her if she is that bothered, there's no reason why they can't catch the same bus in town and walk with the rest of them.)

Thanks Tinkers. I'm sure she will be fine, if she gets in, but at the moment "looks" to small to travel by train !
