Loreto result

Post by gracec »

Hi all
Just received loreto result. Wonder if anyone knows the highest possible score?
It's a bit disappointing that they didn't list individual mark for each subject.

We never found out last year what the highest possible score was. What was the pass mark this year? Last year it was 320.

That's so close on the brink - good luck with a possible appeal.

Can anyone offer a suggestion what this new qualifying score of 345 means? Just being nosy really - my DD did Loreto exam last year so was just wondering - does it mean it's harder to pass for Loreto this year round? Or does it not work like that? Last year confused me a bit as think 320 was again different from the year before. Why all the different QS's for different years?

I heard last year that the Loreto test was quite hard so they had to lower the pass mark to 320 (to allow more girls to pass). The higher pass mark of 345 this year would suggest the test was easier. :D

Thanks for explaining Pumpkin Pie
I just can't work it out at all though - :? Do they give a QS after all girls have done the papers then and they've assessed the level kind of thing?

Congratulations to all those DDs that passed the Loreto entrance exam and sincere commiserations to those that didn't.

Either way, at least there is (more) certainty where there has been none for the last few weeks.

Re high score: I know of one girl who got over 400.

Can anyone help - she is Cat 5, and I am convinced she would get in, but can anyone offer any statistics/anecdotes of reassurance for mum?
