The Tiffin Girls' School News / Results

Post by mummyjee »

I have the week beginning 21st Oct marked on my calendar for the results from Tiffin Girls... So like Nonsuch, should i expect them towards the end of the week?

And i can't seem to find whether i should expect an email or letter. Some1 shed some light please

Thank you

Last year, from old threads, it was letters. This year, it could be letter or e-mail.

From TGS FAQs

Q: When will I hear what my daughter's mark in the Stage 1 selection test was?
A: The Tiffin Girls' School will inform all candidates of their Stage 1 results during the week
of 21 October 2013

This year the test letters came by post and via email so I would imagine the results might be the same.

School suggested today that the letters would be posted this week (no idea when) by first class mail and no e-mail.

question from a friend? ...

Is there any point in putting Tiffin Girls on the CAF if your dd passes but is not in the list of designated areas?

My answer was..that she probably wouldn't get an invite to do the stage 2 test, so that would give her the answer. but i thought i'd ask the experts here

please advise :)

I think you are right, unless a sibling is already at TGS.

yes there are transition arrangements, I think the sibling has to still be there on 1st Sept 2014 so no good if they finish next summer. If in doubt read the full rules on TGS website

Technically there is nothing to stop you putting TGS on the CAF, it wont validate at the submission point (unless you tick male instead of female), but it would be a wasted choice if you don't qualify as it would never lead to an offer.

Quote from the Tiffin girls website...

"Results for the Stage One Test taken on 8 October 2013
Results have been posted first class on Tuesday 22 October 2013."

Wishing the girls & parents expecting STAGE 1 results tomorrow ...all the best.
i'll be waiting anxiously for an invite to the stage 2 test :|

We got the results, and yes, she is sitting the Stage 2

The question is: is there a chance as we live OOC?

Tiffin does not give any clear indication how exactly the places will be allocated - post code priority or..???

Many thanks,
Mariela
