I have twice asked Tiffin Admissions for a remark

Post by Wizz29 »

Hello everyone

I have twice asked Tiffin Admissions for a remark of DS's papers - and not received a reply either time to my email - does anyone know why this would be?

Many thanks

It's not simply a case of the email not getting through? We've had no end of problems with emails in the last few weeks, with our emails not reaching people and emails not arriving. I've taken to re-sending important emails from another account as a backup!

Not sure how to put this in rhyming slang
....... but you could send them a letter by recorded delivery ('signed for'), copying the emails, and explaining that you've had no reply.

Good luck. I assume you must live locally then.
If it was me I would call and then you can get immediate feedback and guidance.

I would definitely ring Admissions. The Tiffin Admissions staff are actually (in my experience anyway) really nice, friendly, helpful people. But I imagine with 2000 boys having applied they will be inundated with parents asking for remarks and asking about the appeals process. Good luck. Peridot.

Just to be clear, we're talking about having the school mark the paper again, not just make some comments, right?

Wizz29, what I should have said is that, when you do speak to Admissions, I am sure they will say that as the papers are marked with an optical reader they do not remark, or re-mark, them. You may need to consider an appeal if you have compelling reasons to do so; there is plenty of great advice in the Appeals section of this forum.
