Is There Such Level as 5.7

Post by scatshouse »

Hi,

My son told me that his class had a science test today and that he'd scored 100% and that his teacher told him he'd reached level 5.7.

Is there any such level? It was my understanding that levels were graded a, b, c etc.

Thanks.

However, the a,b,c grades are related to actual marks, so the teacher might have worked out his own system of grading based on that. Seems a bit odd, though!

Many school use 5.7 to mean 5a - you cannot track on a spreadsheet with a,b and c so this is quite common! Numbers can be manipulated much more easily.

Hi All,

Many thanks for your replies, can't remember my daughter ever being tested this much, it's all too confusing for me these days!

Thanks again,
Scatshouse.
