best schools in salisbury to get through 11+

Hi, am new to salisbury - does anyone know which primary school / prep school (boys) tend to get the best results for the 11+ and entrance to Bishops? Many thanks!

My son has just started at Bishops. He went to Winterbourne Earls school and this year they got 4 boys and 4 girls through out of a class of 25.

However, in my experience the state schools do nothing to prepare the children for the exam and your best bet is to find a good tutor to familiarize your son with the papers. Not sure about the private sector though and this year the test was fairer as you could not coach too much as there was a written piece of work included which was assessed in the case of a borderline.

Obviously the sucess of each school depends on the skills of each cohort not on the school itself although that can have an affect. There is one school in salisbury that has a schoool run 11 plus club.

the same can be said of tutors really - no making a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
