Trying to compile a reading list

Hello all,

I am trying to get my DD to read more and to attempt 'harder' books so she is exposed to different writing styles and vocabulary. She tends to stick to Michael Morpurgo which is fine in itself but I feel she needs read a variety of books.

Can I have some suggestions please as to titles or authors she could try? she is currently 9 1/2

Look on the index page under the heading English. The first thread there is "Members suggestions for reading" which is an exceptionally long list of various suggestions.
