Sorry, my DS did not get into Tiffin. He worked sooooooooooo hard, and with 232 was not enough. Commiseration to the one that did not get what they wanted and congrats to the others!

minicab, your DS hard work will not go waste and would be very useful in the coming years. I hope he got another good school, if not Tiffin. We don't know the cutoff as yet, but in the previous years, the final cut-off score had come down by 2 points. So may be your DS would still get the place from the waiting list, as I think that 232 must be very close to the cut-off score. Good Luck.

My other boy is already at Tiffin and his younger brother right now is devastated.....
And the little one is such a sensitive and caring boy..... he worked twice as much as his older brother....
But you need a bit of luck as well.

Sorry to hear about your DS's result. A clever child will always be clever no matter where he goes. and scoring 232 may not be enough in first round but very likely he will get it in the second round. from the tiffin e-mail "on Tuesday 4 March information regarding the qualifying score will be available on our website( Tiffin's )". getting 232 itself proves that the child is among the top 30% in the list of this oversubscribed school.
