Ian Blaikie leaving Alcester Grammar School

Post by magwich2 »

We have just had a letter confirming that AGS Head Ian Blaikie is leaving in August to take up a new post abroad.
Very much hoping that they find someone as good to take over.

What a shame. I've not met him but I thought that he came across very well at the open evening.

Thanks for the heads up - the website says that they are interviewing on 7 & 8 April.

A fantastic Head. He is going to be a hard act to follow.

But then so were Mr Shearn, and Mr Turner before ... A fab school like AGS will always attract the very best candidates for the job :)

Perhaps it's the transfer season: the head of KECHB, Michael Roden, not long ago announced as to taking up post at new UOB school.
