How many GCSEs are enough?

Post by tiffinboys »

Apparently, for this boy, even 20 are not enough.

He is only 18.
It isn't uncommon for boys to have facial hair by that age, especially Asian boys.

Asian boys shaving in year 8 already, no big deal.

Instead what a remarkable story of this young lad; truly amazing and inspirational. Puts the 10-14 our kids take into perspective

He and a teacher have now developed a tuition centre that aims to teach to the test, and help kids pass o levels or gcse exams in four intense extra tuition months. Apparently there is a big industry of after school tuition centres literally feeding children all the vital information to pass just the exams, rather than learn the subjects, which is of course a different thing entirely.

Good luck to him, hopefully he will find a productive use for his obviously brilliant recall skills and his ability to focus his time and motivate himself to succeed in an objective.

It is interesting how some people have the ability to concentrate so much on personal development in a particular field. Most famously we see it in football players, cricket players, musicians, cyclists. Unusual to see the trait in academics, without the young adult progressing at an accelerated speed through the levels, ie, PhD by the time they are 15 sort of thing.

Anyway, he seems to be enjoying his mini celebrity status on tv shows etc, so hopefully he is living it up a bit now, like any other 18 year old boy.
