New secondary school near tiffin girls! Kingston academy

Dear all, I just want to know what people think of the proposed kingston academy in north kingston. The head teacher is a former tiff indian and from what I have heard is that they would try to compete with tiffins for achievements. Would be nice to know what people think.

Can you remind me when this school is due to open, is it Sept 15 with Year 7 intake from then onwards? And what PAN is proposed. We live out of Borough so although try to keep up with the latest news it doesn't affect us for DS coming up, and DD Yr 8 at TGS - wondering how much longer she will be able to squeeze on 65 to the station - but at least 671 still a possible!

They open the doors in Sept 15 with Year 7 intake from then onwards.They are acutely aware of the practical problems with increasing traffic and sudden insurge of another 1200 children at peak time at richmond road ,in few years time.There was atalk about having differentt opening and closing hours .The headteacher seemed to be open to suggestions and had requested people to contact her .The details are in their website. hope ttat helps.
