Books About Town- a day out idea this summer

Post by Blitz »

This summer there will be 50 book bench sculptures dotted along 4 trails around London.
The benches have been painted by various artists to reflect an author's books. It would make a great day out to follow a trail, spot the benches and complete the quizzes. Check out the website.

Anymore ideas for a good day out?

We have tried a couple of treasure trails (http://www.treasuretrails.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I think) which have been good.

We haven't done much recently as DH has bad knee trouble, but we also go geocaching. You can usually find a nice series of caches nearby. If you have a smart phone with GPS, then it's just the cost of the app.

Link corrected - dot.co.uk instead of dot.com

Tinkers, I agree, it is a great site.

Thanks for the correction. I intended to do co.uk, so not sure where the com came from. I blame the heat.

No caching for us at the moment though. Looking like DH needs knee surgery for a meniscal tear, and DD isn't keen any more. :(
