Bucks Test 2014

Post by abc72 »

All,

As 3d Nets and Cubes did not come in NVR of 2013, it is more likely to come in 2014 - is this theory true?

When do we feel our child is well prepared? Based on % in mocks or rank or both please?

Thanks.

Not sure if this is allowed, the following books (all from the shop of this website) were suggested to me and I am in the process of getting them. Has any body else used and can anyone comment on these?

11+ Essentials - 3-D Non verbal Reasoning (First Past the Post) - CEM (Durham University)
CGP - The 11+ Non-verbal Reasoning Study Book and Parent Guide for the CEM Test
CGP - The 11+ Non-Verbal Reasoning Practice Book with Assessment Tests (10-11) for the CEM Test

I am also using these books, hope they are indicative of the real exam as no one seems to know anything about CEM and last years exam.

Hi SIT!

For NETS and CUBES, try making nets from different boxes around the house and also making paper (cubic) boxes from nets.

I hate nets with a passion, I can happily admit to this and post it as I know I am not alone. Thankfully the boys all seem to be able to conquer them alone, whereas I spend a long time looking at pictures wishing I could twist my head upside down. I think I have managed to get through life just fine even with my apparent inability to spot, within 20 seconds, where the squiggle will end up if cube is rotated 90 degrees around axis c.
I also hate the boys making 3d net boxes, as the results proceed to take over the entire house jeering at me from every surface with their stripey sides and spotty bases.
