AET Advanced Summer courses
Did anybody attend these and what were your thoughts?
I know of one child whose average across weekly tests in all 3 subjects was above 92% and performed pretty well in the mock tests too (English still to be sat at end of August), yet AET suggested they attended advanced Summer courses to help prepare for the Super-Selectives. The parents did not proceed with these courses and I agree there was no need.
Just wondering if anybody else thought they'd gained anything?

Re: AET Advanced Summer courses
I considered these courses for DD but at the end decided against it. Reasons being - a) I wanted DD to rest in summer rather than do any extra work and b) I thought those courses were good for DCs sitting separate Maths and English papers in September ( eg. HBS last year).
This year many schools have their second stage (separate English and MAths papers) in December/January so a third course run by AET (from Sept to Dec - suitable for stage 2) may be more appropriate.
Sorry, not much helpful.
