According to HT at TWGGS
There will be a mark for English, maths and reasoning....so 3 scores, with a minimum required in each paper - as there is now. That came from her talk at the Open Evening tonight....does that mean HTs got scores today?!

Wow! That's news. Interesting that they lumped all the reasoning together.

HT's should have got results around now or at least an email with more info preceding results.
I hope that is the case (3 scores), as that's what I was expecting them to do. It makes sense and I'm really happy with that idea
I just wish they had been more sensible about the number of maths questions.

It would've made me more comfortable, but I wasn't holding out much hope that that would be the case! I don't know anyone who finished the maths in the time, and everyone I know guessed at least 5-11 questions. There's a lot of luck in that. Have you heard of finishers?

I know of a few who finished, but general feedback seems to be most ran out of time.....

Only one! Not top Maths group though so he may have guessed some.
Most children in our school just left the last 4-8 Q's blank because they had no warning before the end. I've heard there were a lot of guessers in other schools.
I'm hoping more we're unlucky than lucky to level the field a bit. Not fair that ultimately it could come down to luck!
My DS gifted in Maths left four unanswered! Which is very unusual for him.
I'm very worried too. Not overconfident about English either, as practice paper scores were quite variable. So it all depends how it went on the day

With that scoring strategy, why oh why did they not make the test one third each of maths, English & reasoning?? That would mean less being down to luck and more accuracy in the scores. I wonder if the format next year will reflect this?

Do you mean one test of each?
Yes I would have preferred that too.
They may do that in future, if/when they realise their mistake.
