test date for those who were sick - sutton selective test
Hi,
My friends daughter will sit the test on the 1st October due to illness on the 17th Sept.
My question is will they use the pass mark set for those who took the test on the 17th?
Thank you

You will get authentic answer if your friend contact the School directly, but I think it is very likely that cut-off for first sittings would be used.

Yes that is what I think. They will apparently sit the test on the 1st and then be given the result the following day.tiffinboys wrote:You will get authentic answer if your friend contact the School directly, but I think it is very likely that cut-off for first sittings would be used.

Bit confused those who have given on 17th are expecting results tomorrow...not sure how they will apply standardization if other children are sitting after the results have been declared.....

Ladymuck,
Do you know howmany marks does the September Born (Eldest) would normally loose in Standardisation process?
Is it for Each Paper? or on total? If yes howmuch would it be approximately?
Cheers,

Thanks Ladymuck. Very useful.
I know a boy in my Son's school who has done brilliantly in SET and even Second round ... got in Wait List at Wilsons.
Later realised that he is a September born. I guess he should have lost some good number of marks.

As far as I know, marks are not cut. Late borns get some extra based on averages for children born in each month from September to August.
