A question for a friend.
What sort of jobs can a Mathematics graduate get nowadays? Thanks.

Now come on magwich, everyone knows that's the Sociology graduate..

And only the Americans have "math" - a dreadful abomination

What we study is Mathematics, the language of the universe....

Is this for someone who is considering taking maths or someone who is already studying..

it may also be worth considering things like engineering which is heavily mathematical.. you should see the prep work my DD has had to do over summer, and on the day she arrives at uni (next Saturday) she will have a maths test.. and on Sunday a 'maths day'...

This is for someone considering courses.
He does Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Economics. Wants to be a Psychiatrist actuallly and is in yr12 but likes Maths too.

If he is thinking of maths at degree level then he should look into further maths at A level. Not having it could be a barrier.

Yes that's a good point KB - the best universities prefer double maths.

If he wants to be a psychiatrist surely he will be doing medicine, not maths?
