My son sat LRGs yesterday. Out of area - hoping for residual place

Said the English and Maths were fine - nothing on papers he hadn't covered

Said VR was hard going but finished it with seconds to spare

fingers crossed for a residual place

All is same here,my son also sat yesterday for residual seats.
stated the same things as maths and English were fine but found verbal reasoning hard due to some vocabulary.Any way I also heard some other boys saying the same.he also managed to finish it before time and had a minute or two left.

when r results expected ,by 9th?

Hi, came upon this forum looking for 11+ advice. My DS will take the LRGS exam next year, and we too are out of area. Quite scarey seeing that 330 took the exam! is that the usual number? I think 3 from our primary got in last year, and we will find out soon this years.
Good luck to your boys - be great to hear how they did!

Thanks Lancmum

Encouraging to hear 3 got in last year from out of catchment. Are you south of Lancaster?

I think around 300 sit the boys exam each year

Thanx luncmum

great to hear 3 got from ur child's school;but we aiming for residual seats are alaways at risk still play
the game.My son is not that bothered but he did it for me, saying: mum if I word hard I can get those A/A*
from any school.Boys don't tend to do that hard work but for 11plus they have to do;atleast I am glad he
is selected by his school for level 6 in all satspapers.

Good luck to all present and future parents for LRGS.
