Standard or multi choice ?

Post by Espresso »

Is the 11+ in Kent the standard or multiple choice format.

And which board sets the test here?

Thanks.

I have now taken the trouble to look at previous messages !

Can someone CONFIRM that the Kent tests are set by NFER and are multiple choice. Thanks.

yes! :D

Also only do 15 types of VR.

and no english paper, but a piece of writing which will be looked at of child is borderline....

That's if you are in teh KEnt bit of Kent rather than Medway or Bexley!!

Yoyo 123 - so how is it different if we're in Bexley? Do you mean if we're doing the Bexley 11+ or if we're in Bexley doing the Kent test for North Kent grammars? Having focused entirely on the Bexley tests I'm floundering a bit with what to expect for the Kent tests (which I understand are on 12 Jan). I understand they are multiple choice NVR, VR, Maths and the piece of writing which is only marked in borderline cases. When you talk about only doing 15 types of VR - which 15 do you mean?

I meant Kent test instead of Bexley test.

The 15 tyoes of VR (as far as I understand) are teh 15 as on the nfer papers, Many of teh others have 21 types (the HIKNOS types). MOe info on teh 11+ advice bit on home page. Also lots of discussion of this on VR forum.

Is that date for teh out of county tests??
